NAIP, New Delhi,
said that agricultural research
and extension system has to continuously respond
to the emerging needs, viz.
science for
excellence,
science for commerce, and
science for society. He stressed the need
to orient the human resources of the
National
Agricultural Innovation System (NAIS)
on these issues, by meaningful and need-based
capacity building programmes.
Scientists and teachers from Agricultural
Universities (AUs), ICAR institutes, NGOs, and
private organizations, who are involved in NAIP,
numbering 35, participated in the workshop.
